Lord Ganesha is one of the prominent deities of Hinduism. He is worshiped and celebrated as the elder son of Lord Shiva and Lord Shakthi. We can find temples of this god in almost all parts of the world where Hindus are living. In every temple of lord Shiva or lordess Shakthi temple, his shrine will be present on the left side of the temple. He is also called in other names: Vinayaka, Ganapathy, Ganesan and Pillayar. Every Hindu God or Goddess has their own vehicle. Since mouse is his vehicle, we can see an idol of mouse in front of his every shrine.
